Family History
As you probably already know, I am very much into family history. I especially love to find stories about our ancestors. It turns out that two of our ancestors on the Kent side are quite famous. One of them (Thomas Rogers) came to America on the Mayflower as one of the original pilgrims and another one (Robert Bailey) fought with the minute men in the Revolutionary War. I am looking for more information on Robert Bailey, but this means that our daughter and granddaughters are eligible for membership in "The Daughters of the American Revolution."

That's just cool!
ReplyDeleteI've had the wrong blog address all this time. I know you sent me the updated one, but somehow I never changed the link on my blog to the right one till now. Anyways, it was fun to catch up on all your posts and what a great picture of the grandkids at the top! We'd actually love to hear more about your family history findings or to get our hands on some copies of the Kent and Preston pedigree charts.
ReplyDeleteThanks for offering me your white mugs! I didn't think anyone would take me seriously, but that was so generous to offer. I actually found a great plate at DI and scored a cute little pitcher for free, so I think I've got it how I like it now. Boyd just laughs and shakes his head about my new interest in actually decorating our house. I still haven't convinced him we should paint some walls. So I just paint furniture instead.
